Proprietor, Elaine Hamblin, of Kosa Arts is the matriarch of the marketplace. And, her shop is a mini emporium with an eclectic range of high quality goods, all meticulously curated. We think her mission is to make life more beautiful for her customers. Her creative aesthetic is calm, wise, sustainable, local, welcoming, and artistic. Her husband, Joseph, is always close by to ensure the vision is perfectly executed and expertly expressed throughout the shop.
But you might forget to shop because you find yourself so completely enchanted by Elaine and Joseph. Indeed, they are both very interesting people who are also interested in the the world around them. And that includes their customers. It makes for dynamic discussion that you don’t even have to pay for!
Once you get back to the shopping part, there is so much to joyfully peruse: clothing designed by Elaine or (usually) local brands, sweaters, dresses, skirts, jeans, accessories, jewelry, handbags, apothecary, home goods, art, trinkets, curios, and so much more. We challenge you to go there and not make new friends or buy something for yourself or someone you love!
Happy shopping!
Oakland, we are so lucky to have Elaine, Joseph, and Kosa Arts in The Town.
