Temescal is a great neighborhood to do a shopping walkabout. Our first very LOCALMOTIV neighborhood tour was from 51st & Telegraph to 40th and Webster and back. The mission: Visit as many indie merchants as possible and tell the story of this vibrant local shopping scene. There are so many shops in this district and we still have a lot of work to do to cover them all! Indeed, there is so much more to come.
Preserved was our first Temescal stop. When we arrived, it was still very early in the shop local day. And, it was already packed with happy people passionate about their preserving prowess. Clearly, it was workshop time and these customers were an energized community. We could immediately see what was so special about Preserved. It helps us live for our love of food and desire for personal connections. They accompany us on our journey to expand our knowledge and skills in pickling, canning, kombucha, yogurt, cheese making and other preserving processes we don’t even know about.
And this specialty Kitchen Shop has a high quality assortment of kitchenware, starter kits, supplies, accessories, tools, books, and more to inspire and cultivate our DIY natures. And they’ve got the expertise and community to support us when we need it. In short, it is DIY and Do it Together heaven.
You just can’t buy that on the internet.
